BOX: One-of-a-kind projection mapping onto moving surfaces

A truly magnificent piece of work, exploring the synthesis of real and digital space through projection-mapping on moving surfaces. The short film documents a live performance, captured entirely in camera. Bot & Dolly produced this work to serve as both an artistic statement and technical demonstration. It is the culmination of multiple technologies, including large scale robotics, projection mapping, and software engineering.

Next level visual and interactive designer GMUNK has a detailed presentation about the project here.

Tui Beer: Guy finds his house plumbed with beer

Cool prank from Tui beer that went viral. A bunch of guys took several kegs of beer and plumbed them into every tap in one of their friends house, along with loads of cameras to catch the action. Then they took a cold beer and watched their friend open every tap on the house and see cold beer pouring out. The branding appers only on the kegs of beer if you pay close attention.

The Wind Portal

The Wind Portal is an installation shaped as a monumental gate of 8 meters high and composed of 5.000 paper windmills that spin thanks to an integrated wind system, the aim was to make our visitors feel, hear and be aware of the action of transitioning through two spaces. The Wind Portal is part of the London Design Festival , and will be on display through November 3, 2013.

Designer Najla El Zein sais: "The wind portal tries to grasp and emphasise on common emotions and senses that are often forgotten. Its architectural shape works as a "trompe oeil" effect which, according to the angle you are positioned from, one would perceive the gate as being closed. As soon as you approach it, the gate seems to open up."

Samsung Galaxy S4: The Smart Phone Line

Samsung users are too smart to wait in line outside of a store for a smartphone. So, in New Zealand, Samsung created an online waiting line for the launch for the new Samsung Galaxy S4. For 12 days, people could get in the virtual line and as they shared and posted features from the S4 they moved forward in the line. A huge outdοor Led-screen visualised the line.
