BR Malls Mooca Plaza Shopping: Human Warmth

More than 15.000 people are living in the streets of São Paulo unprotected from the cold. Mooca Plaza Shopping wanted to help so, the task that WE, an agency from São Paulo, had was to find a way to increase coat donations. They created posters with the photos of actual homeless people suffering from the cold and the donor could help by placing a coat upon them.

Air France "French Kiss & Ride" by Duval Guillaume

Saying goodbye to your loved once at the airport is always a very intense moment. However, long queues and the necessity to be there on time prevent you from doing just that. But not when you live in Belgium and travel with Air France. To emphasize the convenience of travelling with Air France from Bruxelles-Midi, Duval Guillaume developed the campaign “French Kiss & Ride”: Kiss & Ride, the French way.

Air France French Kiss & Ride

The French Kiss & Ride is, first of all, a spot in the underground parking of the train station: parking is free so you can say goodbye properly - totally different from any other standard Kiss & Ride zone, where you can only stay for about 2 minutes.

To make your goodbye even more memorable, Duval Guillaume created a special spot in the train station. Here everyone could take the time to say goodbye to their loved ones, before taking the train to a faraway destination. The goodbye was filmed, and the movie was sent to your mailbox as a souvenir, and to share on social media. In and around Bruxelles-Midi different posters and digital banners showed the way to the French Kiss & Ride spot. Influencers and travel bloggers were invited to share pictures and movies with their followers. No doubt: from now on there is time to say "Au revoir, mon amour!" before you leave for a flight.

Deceased Poet becomes Signing Sensation at Belgian Book Fair

Is it possible for 8 authors to sign non-stop for 12 days? Yes if a robot does all the signing for them.

People usually goes to the Antwerp Book Fair (Belgium) every year to score signatures from their favotrite authors. This year online shop Bol.com raised the signing bar even higher, with a series of signings by top international authors such as Nicci French, David Baldacci and Paula Hawkins.

A stunt in which 8 authors sign non-stop for 12 days. Worthy of note: the late Flemish poet Paul van Ostaijen was also honoured in this way. Bol.com wants to draw attention to genuine literary talent again with this campaign.

Deceased Poet becomes Signing Sensation at Belgian Book Fair

In collaboration with the Antwerp Research & Design Lab Beyond, DDB Brussels created a technological signing robot which analysed, parsed and then reconstructed all the signatures and manuscripts of the famous authors.

In total, an intensive test phase took four weeks. Kevin Verelst, co-founder and Art Director of Beyond explains, “The greatest challenge was above all to imitate the writing as faithfully as possible. In the process, it was essential to completely fine-tune four important elements. Namely, the choice of pen, the angle of the writing, the pressure of the pen on the paper and the writing speed.”

Carlsberg's poster is probably the best poster in the world

Carlsberg reintroduced its iconic strapline in the UK with a first of its kind OOH campaign.
A poster who works as a beer tap!

It's easy to say that a poster that gives free beer is #ProbablyTheBest poster in the world.

Carlsberg - Probably the best poster in the world

The poster was located at The Truman Brewery in London’s Brick Lane and offered to people over 18 free beer for one day. The stunt is part of the new £12m TV campaign which is based around the theme “If Carlsberg did...”

Carlsber's “Probably the best...” slogan was revived in 2015 after four years (they had dropped it in 2011 after nearly four decades).

Diversity & Inclusion – Love Has No Labels

Love has no labels. This installation with dancing and kissing skeletons proves that before anything else, we are all human and calls us to stop discrimination and embrace diversity. To put aside labels in the name of love.

Did you know that we do 98% of our thinking in our subconscious mind? This might be the reason that many people in the US still report feeling discriminated against, though most Americans agree that people should be treated respectfully and fairly.

The important thing is to educate ourselves and watch for biases when they surface. Implicit bias influences how people are treated and how they interact with each other. It can also perpetuate disparities by altering someone’s ability to find a job, secure a loan, rent an apartment or get a fair trial.

To end bias, we need to become aware of it. And then we need to do everything within our power to stop it. In ourselves, others, and institutions. The world will be a better place for it.

Knacki Football presents the smallest football stadium in the world

Imagine a football stadium small enough to fit into a vending machine. Then try to score a goal against Leo Van Der Elst, a Belgian football legend who helped the Red Devils qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup in Mexico in 1986.

During the World Cup, Knacki ball has launched its limited edition Knacki Football, Knacki balls which resemble small footballs. So they completely transformed the interior of a vending machine located in Antwerp Central’s train station into the world's smallest football stadium. The #footballmachine.

Passersby were asked to press a button to receive their free sample. Once they did, to their surprise the door opened and the mini football stadium appeared.

Other crazy characters entered the pitch to add a little spice to this unexpected football game already full of surprises.

Neue Zürcher Zeitung: The Digital Newspaper Holder

Convincing conservative newspaper readers about the advantages of a digital publication can be a hard task. Jung von Matt turned the classic wooden newspaper holders into a digital tool to surprise readers. With the use of LED boards inside the holders and the programming needed in order to receive RSS-feeds through an infrared transmitter, they managed to surprise readers and record a 2.7% increase in its digital readership for Neue Zürcher Zeitung from August to October 2013.

Asics: Ryan Hall Treadmill Challenge

Marathon runners run must faster that you may think. Asics, the sponsor of Ryan Hall, the fastest marathon runner in America, with a finishing time of 2:04:58 at the 2011 Boston Marathon, game New Yorkers the chance to run at Hall's pace. They used a flatbed truck with a treadmill on the back, set to run at 12.6 MPH, or 4:46 per mile, Hall's average pace. It seems that those who took the challenge had a lot of fun.

The Wind Portal

The Wind Portal is an installation shaped as a monumental gate of 8 meters high and composed of 5.000 paper windmills that spin thanks to an integrated wind system, the aim was to make our visitors feel, hear and be aware of the action of transitioning through two spaces. The Wind Portal is part of the London Design Festival , and will be on display through November 3, 2013.

Designer Najla El Zein sais: "The wind portal tries to grasp and emphasise on common emotions and senses that are often forgotten. Its architectural shape works as a "trompe oeil" effect which, according to the angle you are positioned from, one would perceive the gate as being closed. As soon as you approach it, the gate seems to open up."

Ray-Ban: #nofilterjustrayban

Last day of summer but I'm posting about a cool idea DDB Brussels had for Ray-Ban sunglasses to keep it going for a little longer (well, in Greece, the weather is like summer almost year round).

So, DDB tranformed trams in all major Belgian cities into "Ray-Ban Test-Drive Trams" by pasting filters on the windows and letting people discover the city through different Ray-Ban color lenses thus promoting the wide range of Ray-Ban's polarized color lenses: from sky blue to hot pink.

To make it social, posters inside the tram invite travelers to share their pictures of the city with #nofilterjustrayban.
