Nintendo DSi: Brain Teaser

“Brain Teasers: anytime, anywhere.”


The challenge: Nintendo asked us to come up with an indoor promotion for Nintendo DSi Brain Teasers. The problem: in shopping malls prior to Christmas. And as we all know, they are a madhouse of noise and confusion at this time. So, how do we get anyone’s attention in there?

The idea: In every shopping mall there is a place where we can have people for our very own. A place that over 40% of shoppers visit at least once during their shop. A place that is just perfect for our promotion: the customer toilet. We transformed this place into one big brain teaser. And turned it into an experience space. Leaflets with a 10% discount offer on all Nintendo Brain Teasers encouraged shoppers to go straight to the retailer in the shopping mall.

DIRTY WATER Vending Machinε



What if someone bottled the water that millions in developing countries drink every day and offered it on the streets of New York?

For just a buck, during World Water Week (March 22-29), New Yorkers in the Union Square Park area were able to enjoy the benefits of DIRTY WATER. It was available in a wide variety of choices like MALARIA, CHOLERA or even TYPHOID DIRTY WATER -- and currently has 900 million consumers. Over 4,200 children die of water related diseases every day and millions of people around the world lack access to clean water resources.

New Yorkers were startled to find YELLOW FEVER or HEPATITIS DIRTY WATER bottles. They looked at the vending machine in disgust. Though no one drank Dirty Water,many did donate to the cause. This idea of "selling" dirty water was inspired by UNICEF's promise that every dollar donated would provide safe drinking water to 40 children for a day.

This eye-opening DIRTY WATER initiative from Casanova Pendrill New York, goes beyond collecting funds for UNICEF in a unique active street effort. The goal was to shock the media and the public with this alarming issue.

The campaign is currently active since people can continue donating online at tapproject.org or via text message. Text TAP or AGUA to UNICEF (864233) to make a $5 donation.

This effort is part of a much bigger pro-bono Spanish/English campaign that Casanova Pendrill executed within UNICEF´s Tapproject.org. This is first time the campaign expands to Multicultural. Casanova has managed to secure half a million dollars in donated media and developed TV spots, Radio, Outdoor, web banners and outdoor events.

Economic Times - The Power of Ideas : Start up

The Power of Ideas campaign is an effort to get businessmen across India, who have entrepreneurial ideas to pitch them to a panel of judges who will in turn decide whether they are worth developing. The campaign is being done as a collaborative project between the Times Of India Group's Economic Times paper, the Govt. Of India, Department of Science and Technology and IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Ahmadabad.

The brief for the ad was to excite and enthrall a viewer who might be relevant to he above-mentioned cause. The characters in the ad have an air of grit and determination to them, the will to break barriers and achieve their dreams. As the voice over plays out, different faces are seen mouthing the words, as the copy can be said to be all their desires and dreams paraphrased into one statement.

Furthermore, we have used distinctive & abstract imagery to act as metaphors for the conditions that the characters in the film describe to the viewer, and the overall statement that the film makes.

Να τυπώσουμε τη μικρότερη μπροσούρα στον κόσμο? Και πως θα δείξουμε όλα τα facilities που έχουμε? Είστε τρελοί? (θα έλεγε το marketing σε μια ελληνική εταιρία)...


Insights, Strategy and the Idea: For years The University of Aarhus had experienced a decline of students at the nature science studies. Our brief was to make more college students choose to study nature sciences after ending college. We specially designed a campaign for every study direction. For the study of Molecular Biology (the study of biology at a molecular level) we built our campaign around a basic insight that concerned all the students at Molecular Biology. Since they had always been interested in studying very small objects, they all owned a microscope at home or they frequently used the microscopes placed in the physics/chemistry room at college.

Creative Execution: We created a brochure so small that it was only possible to read the text through a microscope. The brochure measured only 5 mm x 10 mm and the text was specially printed with an incredible point size of only 0.4. The brochure informing about the molecular studies at Aarhus University - was handed out to students at all major colleges.

Results and Effectiveness: The brochure immediatly became a collector's item at college and was a major subject on the students Facebook college groups. But most importantly, the University of Aarhus experienced a 67% increase of applications for the Molecular Biology and other nature science studies. Their most successful campaign ever.

Οι DUS Architects είναι ένα ολλανδικό αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο που φτιάχνει urban interventions και προτείνει τρόπους πουβελτιώνουν τον αστικό χώρο. Εδώ έχουμε 2 projects: Το πρώτο είναι ένα pop-up bar από ομπρέλες, όπου έγινε ένα πάρτυ και το δεύτερο ονόματι Unlimited Urban Woods είναι μια κατασκευή με ένα μονο δέντρο που αντανακλάται από καθρέφτες δημιουργώντας την ψευδαίσθηση ενός δάσου χωρίς τελειωμό.
