The Worlds Biggest Space Invaders Game

Four member of the Chelsea Football Club played Space Invaders in real life with a combination of 3D projection mapping and real motion gaming technology. Seems like a lot of fun.

Contagion: Bacteria Billboard

A live bacteria growing billboard was used to promote the latest Steven Soderbergh's film "Contagion".
Warner Bros. Pictures Canada hired microbiologists and immunologists from around the world to create a one-of-a-kind bacteria message board located at 409 Queen Street West in an abandoned store-front window. On August 28th, two large Petri dishes were inoculated with live bacteria including penicillin, mold and pigmented bacteria and almost overnight have revealed the true Contagion -- an artistic interpretation of the spread of a virus as depicted in the film.

The public was invited to witness first-hand the remarkable growing power of natural bacteria on Wednesday August 31st from 11:00 AM -- 2:00 PM. The first 50 people who arrived received passes to see "Contagion" in theatres and other themed prizes.

Ray-Ban: Flip Out New York Experience

What goes in must flip out. Ray-Ban and Sunglass Hut created an kaleidoscopic experience in New York on June 2nd. Seen the film I'm certain that it must have been a flip out experience.

Ariston: Inside The Machine Project

There is an old Greek joke about a kid who put his hands in front of his face facing the opposite way, move his head around and say, "mom, get me out of the washing machine".

Well, Ariston launched a new range of washing machines and decided to do just that. To get people inside a washing machine and experience all the phases of a washing.

“The Inside the Machine Project” is a really big installation. The numbers are impressive: 12m high, 5 tonnes of metal, 3 tonnes of wood, 450 square metres of light refracting materials and water sprinklers.

More than 10.000 people went inside the giant drum.

Lynx Excite Angel Ambush London Victoria

Lynx used an augmented reality billboard to interact with people at the London Victoria Station.
A very interesting approach which as you will see in the video below, was embraced by the people who interacted with the angels. Some of them are really enjoying this.

This installation is part of Lynx's Fallen Angels campaign. You can visit their Facebook page here and try to release Kelly Brooks, the last archangel. The one who didn't fall. Yet.

Mercedes-Benz: Transparent walls

Imagine yourself driving and be able to see through walls on interceptions. Then you would probably see danger way ahead.

This was Jung von Matt/Elbe's idea to showcase Mercedes-Benz's new system called Pre-Safe. This system detects road danger and can take control of the car to avoid it.

How the transparent walls worked: They used a camera to film one side of the road and live feed the other side on a wall thus make it transparent. A great installation. And a great surprise for the drivers.
