Samsung Galaxy S III: The Next Big Thing is Already Here

About a year ago, Samsung mocked Apple's fanboys waiting in an endless line to get the new iPhone. Now, they do it again. And, once again, who can blame them after the second in a row disappointing iPhone. The video is hilarious.

21 Swings: Exercise in musical cooperation

Together we achieve better things than separately. This installation in front of Université du Québec à Montréal’s Science Faculty is based on that notion. It is a giant collective instrument made of 21 musical swings; each swing in motion triggers different notes, all the swings together compose a piece, but some sounds only emerge from cooperation. Installations like this can lighten up a city.

Peugeot: Hybrid4 Parallax Site

If you like graphic novels then you'll love this parallax site for the promotion of Peugeot's new Hybrid4 Technology. Make sure that autoplay and sound are on. Been Greek I must inform you that the term parallax is derived from the Greek παράλλαξις (parallaxis), meaning "alteration".

URA.RU: Make the politicians work

No budget. Just a lot of creativity. Ura.ru is a local site at Yekaterinburg – the fourth largest city of Russia. They wanted to pressure politicians to do something about the quality of the roads which is terrible. So, they drew the faces of the governor, the mayor and the vice-mayor in 3 potholes in the city center, made a PR campaign out of it and forced them to stop making promises and actually do something for the roads.

Carlton Draught: Beer Chase

Best chase ever. Four bank robbers walk into a bar full of cops. Then the most strange car-chase-without-the-car begins. Hilarious.

Axe hair: Office love

Strange creatures - a guy's hair and a woman's breasts - searching for true love. The creatures symbolize what each gender sees first. This is the second Axe commercial withing a month (watch the excellent Susan Glenn if you missed it) with a different tone of voice. The song is “True Love Will Find You in the End” by Daniel Johnston.

Andes Beer: A singular man

Remember Edward Scissorhands? So did Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi who managed to built a great story about a man with bottles of Andes beer in every finger. A great story out of almost nothing as you will see in the end. All they had was a small change in Andes bottle to work for.

DirecTV: Questions

I've posted some Cannes awarded Direct TV commercials bases on a ripple effect (1, 2, 3), but this new one, from Grey NY,  is a bit different. And it is a marvelous one. I'm not saying that because I'm a fan of John Cleese (well, I am), but this spot is so beautifully directed. Watch it a couple of times, at least, because Tom Kuntz managed to squeeze 23 different setups in a 30 second spot!

Amstel Lager: The boxer

This is top-notch advertising. The new spot for Amstel Lager has it all. Great filming, photography, script, soundtrack and most important a solid insight. It talks about taking your time and doing things right. It is the story of boxer, Thapelo ‘Tick Tock’ Mokoena, who was impatient, tried to get a title too soon and fell. With the help of the community that supported him, he learned to take his time, rediscover the joy of boxing, and made a glorious comeback.

New York International Latino Film Festival

Great set of ads. Funny, to the point and so true. Holywood movies are so predictable. The recipe is the same everytime. The tagline: "Some movies are easy to make, films are a different story." talks to the heart of film lovers.

Audi: Audi City London - Digital Showroom

Audi launched its first digital showroom. Audi City is the showroom of the future. It is compact. It uses state-of-the-art technology to showcase, in a fully digital way, Audi's entire model line-up. The video is impressive, this showroom might be the future, but, call me old fashioned, I like to get inside a real car when I go to a dealer.
