DNA Project: Cape Town Station Activation

It seems that South Africans are messing up crime scenes and disturbing evidences. The result: Thousands of criminals escape conviction. The DNA Project set out to educate the public never to interfere with a crime scene. They created a 6x8m canvas out of small white stones. Onto this they spray painted the giant mugshot of a criminal. As people walked over the installation the criminal’s identity became more and more unrecognisable.

Gulf News: The Headline News Cup Sleeve

Fresh news, printed on the sleeve of your morning cup of coffee. Smart and useful.
Gulf news, the UAE's leading English daily newspaper teamed up with Tim Hortons, a global coffee chain, to promote Gulf's twitter channel and increase traffic to the Gulf News website. When someone bought a cup of coffee, the headline news of the hour, were printed on the cup sleeve using a special printer that pulled out tweets from the Gulf News Twitter account. The short URL and QR code on the sleeve then directed them to the Gulf News website where they could read the full story.

A beer vending machine for rugby lovers. It seems that there is a province in Argentina where people like rugby. Salta beer wanted to give rugby fans a unique experience so they created The Rugbeer Machine. A vending machine which you have to tackle hard in order to get a beer. Very engaging.

Coca-Cola: Download Concert

This is how you engage people. A band playing in a concert at 50m height could only be downloaded if the audience entered the site of an online radio station to download the album’s songs with their mobile phones. With each song downloaded, the band played it and came down 10 meters, until they reached ground level with their fans.

LYNX ANARCHY: The World's First Invisible Ad

An invisible and very creative installation by Lynx for the promotion of Anarchy. Using special LCD screens they covered the windows of a house in Sydney and the only way you could look inside was by wearing polarized glasses. And, when the client is Lynx/Axe you could easily imagine what was happening inside.

IKEA: Chemical Toilet

A nice surprise from IKEA and a great promotion for their bathrooms. IKEA set up a 20 m2 bathroom inside a chemical toilet. In the video you can see the reactions of people entering the chemical toilet and facing a clean IKEA bathroom. All this during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. A pay-off clarified the point of initiative and suggested a visit to an IKEA store to discover IKEA’s bathroom lines: “Who said a bathroom should be just a loo?”. Great ambient from 1861United.

Ford: The Parisian Pinball Park

That's the way to park. Bump your car really hard and beat the high score.
To promote Ford's Active Park Assist, Ogilvy Paris set a giant Pinball machine over a free parking space, programmed the bumpers of the front and rear cars and waited for the clumsy Parisian drivers to park their cars. The more they hit the bumpers the highest pinball score they got. Crazy!

Domino's Pizza: Safe Sound

That's a funny sound you never heard of. Domino's uses electric scooters in the Netherlands and in order to make them extra safe (the lack of engine sound makes electric vehicles unsafe for pedestrians)  made fake "domino's" sounds. The outcome is a both funny and creative.

Sprite: Shower
